From M'sia to LA

Alright, this is going to be one of my very long posts. Long not because I have lots to say, but long because there are lots of pics to be shown. Without further delay, lets begin.

Woke up very blurry at 5.30am in the morning. Had to drag myself outta bed and get to the airport in time for my 8am flight. Was raining outside the house too...

Reached KLIA early in the morning.

Our world class airport in Sepang.

Arrived at Changi right on time at 9 in the morning.

Woah, behold. Free Internet!! Its all good.

Heck, I can even log on to my own blog in a flash. Amazing, so reliable unlike a certain ISP in Malaysia. Even the conneciton here in the US, as I'm typing this post is stable and fast. Soooo nice......

Some funky decorations in Changi.

Check out the Penang Chao Kuew Teoy. $9 Singapore Dollar. Hahahha I think Penang's would taste better and cheaper!!

Surprisingly, Subway Sandwiches are cheaper. More choices too. Yum...

Spent some time here playing the free Xbox games. There's an Internet station here too for travlers to access the net.

There's my plane to LA waiting.

Security was really tight. Here's where Singapore shows its Kiasu side. Metal detectors and the works. Lost my nail cilpper through it when they confisticated it. "Oh look at me, I got a nail clipper and I'm not afraid to use it."

On the plane, things got really boring. Couldn't sleep at all. Did a lil movie marathon.

This is what the moon looks like at 30,000 feet. Caught this outsidethe window while everyone else was sleeping.

Finally reached LA. 15 hours of air time.

Yup, a hearty Los Angeles welcome. Once you get past imigration of course. Really long lines there.

First dinner was in Chinatown. Mushu Pork was good, only found in the US.

Thats all for this post. Plenty of pics to be put up later. But I will be selective on them. Way too many to post all of them (as much as I would like to).

Period of Silence Ended

Hey everybody. Its been a while since the last posting. Been pretty hard trying to get the comp ever since I got to LA. Well, fact is I'm finally back in LA after going on a one week road trip that took me up to San Francisco and the wilderness of Yosemite National Park.

For starters, I can't write up a full posting at the moment as too much as happen and I am far too lazy to put everything in words. So I'm gonna be lazy and use pictures (as usual to speak for me). Gonna be posting up a preview set of pics of what has been happening to me lately. A lil idea for a taste of things to come.

Ah, sunny California. Hotter than hot....a big change in temperature...in the wrong direction.

An artist carving out a landshark.

Not only are the people in US big, so are their buildings. Check this out.

Seagulls aren't shy around humans. Infact they are expecting their next meal to come right to them (handed by humans of course)

If you thought navigating KL was hard..... try this.

Jellyfish

Furry critters having an emergency meeting on the beach.

A sunny day in the heart of San Francisco

Waiting for rice to cook can be pretty.....exciting....

Right that is about as much as I can squeeze out this session. Will detail the trip in a later post. Enjoy the photos for now.

In a Malaysian minute

This is gonna be a picture post. I basically have compiled together pics I took over the course of the week. Was going to type out more, but my browser crashed last night, taking most of my entry along with it.

In any case, I'll insert some text here and there to make things less...sloppy. Monday was at the Curve to try out the new Cineplex. Place is basically empty as a tomb. Heard in the papers that the place is suppose to be a real hip place for the "youth" of today to hang out. There's gonna be a giant screen that displays games that are being played by ppl around the mall. Sounds like a cool concept, but only time will tell if it will be successful.

Cineleisure

Apparently you would be able to play games on this platform one day when the mall is fully operational.

Some boys playing in the fountain. The mother is clearly encouraging them.

This next section is going to be all about the many animals I took pics of during my time at the Curve. Most of which are sound asleep. Don't worry I didn't knock on the glass or anything to get a reaction from them.

This lil' pup is snoring peacefully away.

A Siberian Husky that is interested in a lil baby.

You heard of over turned lorries but, it happens to turtles too.

A tiny fisherman in a tank.

Common tell me a joke.

Tender loving hug

Ack! I can see your bones!!

These Malaysians are setting a fine example of our "barbaric" motoring etiquette to the general public. Shame on you idiots. Can't even read the sign above your own heads. Where did all the money for education go to?

Nice shot of some tables and chairs

Had dinner at Charms after watching the Assasination of Richard Nixon on Monday. Pretty nice decent food set in a cosy atsmosphere.

Took a trip down to KL today to watch a movie at Kat's place. Got a lift from dad who kindly dropped me off at Masjid Jamek. Boarded a train heading to Ampang. Rained during the journey there and it was still pouring when I reached Cempaka.

Bangunan KTM

Waiting at the platform. Watch your step buddy.

Mixture of old and new. Below this building marked 1921, is a Burger King outlet.

Waiting for the train.

The casualty of over building. Looking over Puduraya is the failed project of Plaza Rakyat. In the late 1990s, this place was to be THE central railway station or something I think. Also was suppose to eliviate the problem of congestion in Puduraya. Almost a decade later, nothing has changed. The jams are still there, made worse by the floods and this big waste of concrete is a testament to poor government planning.

Watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind at Kat's. Loved the show, some of the best acting I've seen and its got a good plot line to it too.

Had lunch over at Great Eastern Plaza at this place. Cozy House.

Me, Kat and my Iceblended Mango Drink

Some really cute puppy I saw

Curious lil' bird who wanted to give the two love birds in the background some room.
