Butterflies in Thailand

This isn't a full post. Have been busy so I hardly have time to find something long to write about. I will just post up some pics that I took the past two days to end this terrible post draught.

I followed Chris and Kit to the Butterfly Park yesterday to have a go at taking pictures of bugs. The butterflies there were pretty friendly. They kept coming up to us. The problem was finding the good looking ones that were willing to sit still.

Today I went to StarHill to cover an event. The organisers took us to this Thai restaurant on the funky looking Feast floor. Food wasn't spectacular. But it didn't matter since I wasn't paying for it.

Some Japanese Race Queens (basically Grid Girls) came to our office to promote the SuperGT, which will take place some time soon at the Sepang International Circuit. They kept saying "Jumpa di Sepang" as they handed out freebies to us.

Going Wild

I've been really busy as of late. Lots of articles to write up and I've been recently been watching this amazing anime, Eureka Seven. Now that I've finally finished watching all 50 episodes I've got some time to do other stuff.

Last week I went on a jungle excursion with Olympus into a forrest area new Tanjung Malim. Spent one night under the stars and out in the wild. Took up the assignment as it was something out of the ordinary.

Our 4 x 4 convoy stopped by Yik Mun where we had lunch and sampled the famous Tanjung Malim Pau.

The Famous Yik Mun Pau. To be honest I found the paus a little over rated.

Going into the jungle

Crossing over the first stream

The journey through the jungle was rough as the "road" was rocky and muddy. The car 4 wheel drive in front of my car was stuck in the mud.

Setting up camp

Putting up our tents

Just a stone's throw away from the camp is a small stream and waterfall.

As darkness falls, lights were set up near the stream.

Our cook showed lots of enthusiasm in his cooking. Wonder what is cooking? Chicken that's what.

We had a little telematch after dinner.

Some participant making teh tarik in the jungle. Suffice to say, we all sucked.

The stream is a nice place to cool down even in the morning sun.

A close up shot of the waterfall.

After spending half the afternoon packing, we were all ready to go back to civilisation.
